Summary
Little Ellen is a cruel and bad-tempered young girl with a habit of kicking and hitting her nurse when she doesn't get her way. After being punished several times for bad behavior, Ellen realizes she is causing grief and unhappiness to her mother and herself, and from then on becomes an obedient and docile child.
