Summary
After the invasion of Poland by the Nazis in World War II, Mikhash and his parents were forced to move to the ghetto. Mikhash was not allowed to take his beloved pet dog, Chikah, into the ghetto so he asked his friend, a little Christian girl, to look after Chikah. When the Nazis started moving the Jews to the concentration camps, Mikhash and his family went into hiding. After a long time, when the war was over they all went to the little girl's house to find Chikah. What a happy reunion there was - Chikah had not forgotten Mikhash at all.
