Summary
At David's school every child has to volunteer in the community once a week. David chooses to visit and help an elderly man and they become fast friends. One day the man receives a visit from someone he had known in his younger days but the meeting sweeps David up into an argument over strange events that involve love, jealousy, stolen paintings and a duel with pistols that David must try to stop.
