Summary
A snail did not know the meaning of speed, so she asked the other animals to explain it. The sparrow flew away, the horse ran away, the chameleon caught a dragonfly with her tongue, and the fox ran as fast as the wind and caught a rabbit - but the snail could not do any of these things. A porcupine gathered herself into a ball and rolled down a hill, so the snail went inside her shell and rolled down the hill. Now she understood the meaning of speed.
