Summary
Bizhan, a brave knight in King Keykhosrow’s court, volunteers to go to Armenia and kill the wild boars that are devastating the country. King Keykhosrow sends Gorgin with Bizhan to show him the way. Bizhan slays all the boars. Envying his great victory Gorgin tells Bizhan to go to Turan and see King Afrasiab’s beautiful daughter - Manizeh. Bizhan and Manizheh fall in love but King Afrasiab is angry because of his many losses to the Iranian army so he jails Bizhan in a pit. King Keykhosrow sends Rustam, the bravest Iranian champion, to rescue Bizhan. Once Bizhan has been rescued and is back in Iran, he marries Manizeh.
