Summary
When young and energetic, the lyrist played his lyre melodiously and sung merrily. His sweet songs charmed everybody and he was rewarded well. But now that he was old his music jarred and he earned his bread in the street. Tired with his wandering life he went to a graveyard and begged God to help him. God ordered the commander of the country to take seven hundred gold coins to the lyrist and give him more gold when he had spent his cash. His lyre had opened the gate of paradise for him.
