Notes
This fable has appeared in anthologies of the Nicaraguan poet, Rubén Darío, always under the title of "The Argument". One week before this book was published, it was determined by a Darío research expert that Darío had no connection to the translation of "The Argument" from the French original by Houdar de la Motte.
