Janaki Sooriyarachchi Growing up in Puhulwella, Sri Lanka, Janaki Sooriyarachchi wrote her first book when she was 8 years old and was first published at the age of 14. Since then, she has authored over 125 story books for children. A qualified banker by profession, Janaki Sooriyarachchi is a multitalented writer, artist, dancer and musician. She is the author, illustrator and graphic designer for all her children’s books, and also created the music and lyrics for her children's song books. Her publishing company, Tikiri Publishers, specializes in children’s story books written in English, Sinhalese and Tamil.
