Summary
Johanna Spyri's classic story of five-year-old Heidi, an orphan sent to live with her grumpy grandfather in the Swiss Alps. Sweet-natured Heidi quickly wins over her grandfather's heart and make friends with the lively young goatherd. However, her newfound happiness comes to an end when Heidi's aunt, Dete, takes her off to Frankfurt to be a companion for Clara, a handicapped child. Finally Heidi is returned to her Alpine home and is overjoyed when she learns that Clara is coming to visit.
